Tourism in Foz do Iguaçu to Kick Off Black Friday with Live Commerce

Global retail trend, live stream selling will offer up to 70% discount

Tourists, travel agents, and operators will have another opportunity to purchase attractions, tours, transportation, restaurants, and hotels in Foz do Iguaçu on Wednesday, November 25, starting at 7 PM. This is another cutting-edge action in national tourism, a live program in the ShopTime style that will offer limited discounts only to those watching the live broadcast on YouTube and Facebook of the operator from Foz.

According to Loumar Turismo’s CEO, Marcelo Valente, the project aims to leverage the immediacy of the broadcast to boost sales for one of the world’s most visited tourist destinations. “The trend originated in China with influencers selling partner brand products live. In September, we held the world’s first Live Commerce for tourism, and it was a success with over 12,000 people watching. It was a hit.”

The significant difference of the Foz do Iguaçu live compared to other retail companies embracing this trend is that in Foz, an experience is sold rather than a physical product, making it a unique live event worldwide.

This month’s program will mark the opening of Foz do Iguaçu’s Black Friday. There will be discounts on transportation, hotels, and tourist attractions. To make a purchase, interested parties should access the link provided via QR code. Just point the camera of their phone and complete the purchase entirely online. If people are watching on a computer, they can also finalize the purchase from their desktop.

During the 2-hour broadcast, viewers will also learn more about the attractions offered, such as Itaipu Binacional, Marco das 3 Fronteiras, and even the Iguaçu Falls – one of the most visited tourist spots in the world.

Loumar clients and digital influencers like Luciano Santana – a YouTuber with 260,000 subscribers; Juliana Tessaro, an Instagram blogger from “Shopping Guide in Paraguay” – with 512,000 followers; and Robson Franzói from the profile @blogumviajante with over 100,000 followers.

Another special participant during the live will be the Paraná comedian Alorino Jr, who has a strong online presence with over 100,000 followers on Instagram and 500,000 on YouTube.

To wrap up the campaign, Loumar is also holding a giveaway on its Instagram account for an all-expenses-paid package to Foz do Iguaçu, and the winner will be announced during the live program.
